The project incorporates robust security measures, including Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection standards, while offering enhanced functionality through a helicopter landing pad, communications tower, staging areas, and optimized acoustics.

Challenge
The Chandler Joint Operations Center faced two significant challenges during development. First, the integration of advanced data communications systems required close collaboration between the Design-Build Team and the Owner’s IT representatives to ensure seamless functionality. Second, the City of Chandler’s water supply was insufficient for the building’s operational needs, which necessitated the additional equipment adjustment to maintain performance standards.
Approach
We partnered closely with the Owner and a full architecture and engineering team to define critical performance requirements for the Request for Proposals. Throughout construction, we remained actively engaged to help navigate evolving data integration needs and address water supply challenges. Our team also guided Owner expectations and ensured the Design-Build Team delivered comprehensive closeout documentation, including a robust Operations and Maintenance Manual to set the stage for long-term success and reliability.
